The Meade family name has played a significant role in building commerce, literally, in the Bluegrass for years. Since 1963, beginning with the Lehman-Meade Company and it's predecessor dating back to 1912, the Meade name has been involved with asphalt manufacturing and rock quarrying for road construction.

Meade Concrete Products was incorporated in 1991 to manufacture construction products. Meade has grown from 4 employees to over 40 since then. Meade increased its production capabilities to include a wide array of block products supplying a large regional delivery area, even beyond the borders of the Bluegrass State.

Through the years, additional products have been added to the Meade roster, with the qualifier they be the best quality in a category type. MESA retaining wall (SRW) products, Cultured Stone ® manufactured stone products, Cobblesystems cobblestone products, and Oaks pavers and wall products are just a few examples.

With the recent addition of locally quarried and cut classic Kentucky River Marble dolomitic limestone and the new Natural Stone Veneers International brand thin veneer natural stone from around the world, the list keeps growing. Whether natural or manufactured, Meade is the headquarters in the Bluegrass for commercial and residential stone products.

Meade's growth has been not only in product offerings but in accessibility through its locations. Meade has just finished construction on two new buildings: the 10,000 square foot stone and paver warehouse across from the Meade offices and block plant on Catnip Hill, and a 13,000 square foot precast concrete facility on three- plus acres at 658 Dodge Street in downtown Lexington.
