The Meade family name has played a significant role in building commerce, literally, in the Bluegrass for years. Since 1963, beginning with the Lehman-Meade Company and it's predecessor dating back to 1912, the Meade name has been involved with asphalt manufacturing and rock quarrying for road construction.
Through the years, additional products have been added to the Meade roster, with the qualifier they be the best quality in a category type. MESA retaining wall (SRW) products, Cultured Stone ® manufactured stone products and Oaks pavers and wall products are just a few examples. With the recent addition of the new Natural Stone Veneers International brand thin veneer natural stone from around the world, the list keeps growing. Whether natural or manufactured, Meade is the headquarters in the Bluegrass for commercial and residential stone products. Meade's growth has been not only in product offerings but in accessibility through its locations. Meade has finished construction on two new buildings: the 10,000 square foot stone and paver warehouse across from the Meade offices and block plant on Catnip Hill, and a 13,000 square foot precast concrete facility on three- plus acres at 166 Lee Street in downtown Lexington.
Today Meade Concrete Products manufactures and markets quality products to build a world of new projects in the Bluegrass. But quality customer service will always be of the greatest importance to the future of Meade, the guiding mission for this strong, growing company.
